World Synopsis: On the 21st of August 2026, the world of the the 1.8.9 Luvstar Fan SMP server underwent a split. A world created for multiplayer was thrust into the silence of singleplayer. Severed from the hands of the community, the once living homes of various people lie abandoned. Only I remain; and through me, its town history begins again, slowly, on a path much different.
19 Aug 2026, a history My base is shaped like a bunny peeking out from under a moutain. Its entrance is a bit hidden; you climb onto the head and fall through a trapdoor hole, into its hollow head. The body of the bunny is underground. You exit through its butt, which peeks out on the other side of the mountain, tucked in a little cove. By its rear is a little pond. I started a carrot, wheat and sugarcane farm by the water. Entering and leaving the bunny was a hassle; it was a one-way passage through the head and out the rear, so I added additional entrance and exits embedded into the mountain.
20 Aug 2026 Night time scares me. I fought two skeletons, a witch, and a creeper but it exploded and messed up the cove at my bunny's rear a bit. I didn't do much. I tried exploring for sheep but I didn't even have any wheat. I did find a bunny. It's white with red eyes. I lured it into the bunny house inside. I'm going to build rabbit pens and populate my base with so many bunnies. All kinds of rabbits. I need a bigger farm first.
21 Aug 2026 I received a copy of the 1.8.9 Luvstar Fan SMP server. Their builds are frozen in time; whatever was left unfinished, whatever was moving in people's inventories, lost their then-given destinies that minute they exported the world for me. The server was just too laggy and I couldn't enjoy it. I grew fond of my little bunny base, and I ought to grow it alongside everyone else's marks but I couldn't live that way. I also wanted to put keepInventory on and set the difficulty to Easy. Apart of lag I played on that world with anxiety... This temporary feeling resulted in such a rift in this world's existence. On the other side, on the server where everyone else lived, my base will grow stagnant—growing where they couldn't see, it's not so different from being abandoned. I think about times when perhaps my internet would make the bridge for me, then the gap I would have built from rooting elsewhere. Would I then create a copy of my copy? For that living town that did not so much as notice when I plucked its world from its side; I did make such a cute bunny house and had cute plans just for them to enjoy—in my vanity, of course.
I couldn't play until just before bedtime when I was in VC. The time was meant for winding down and avoiding screens so I'd get sleepy by bedtime, so I only played for 45 minutes because my eyes were getting tired. I decided that Minecraft was a 7–12AM activity. Those are the most optimal times to play for an hour and at most two.
I explored the town center a bit to see what has been built while I was in my burrow. There's homes full of chests of useful material, but I didn't feel inclined to take any, except for those with signs that explicitly tell me it's okay. I took a stack of seeds so I could start my own wheat farm, and I harvested some of their wheat so I could continue with [operation rescue sheep].
Background: Two sheep are stuck on the cliffside of a great drop. The hilly terrain of the flower forest is hard to traverse and sheep are put in danger. Furthermore, there is unmet demand for wool at the bunny base.
Objective: Retrieve sheep and start a sheep farm.
Protocol:- Locate sheep.
- See if area is clear of monsters such as creepers, spiders and nutty skeletons seeking shade. Kill, if any.
- Plan and build a safe path for sheep. Make a safety path of at least two blocks wide.
- Create a temporary enclosure. Ensure there is enough room for a few additional lambs. Provide a roof to ensure no trespassers get in the pen.
- Lead sheep to safety with wheat. Transport to temporary enclosure.
- Feed the two sheep wheat in quick succession.
21 Aug 2026 Apart from having to neutralize a skeleton hanging out in the shade, operation went smoothly.
22 Aug 2026 boring today. I dumped a water bucket down the cliff towards town center for a rough waterslide for a quick way down. Creating a stair case here is difficult since the cliff is so steep. It needed further planning so I left it as is for the mean time. I spent some time expanding my farms a bit more, still unsure what the garden by Rearcove would look like. I went out to catch more bunnies for [operation: bunny town]
Background: Nobody ever makes rabbit farms.
Objective: Bring every variant of rabbit home.
Protocol:- Find bunny.
- Bring home with carrots or leads.
23 Aug 2026 The hilly terrain of the flower forest is proving to be dangerous for these bunnies. There had already been two incidents of rabbits excitedly jumping about for my carrots only to hurt themselves or fall to their deaths by their own clumsiness. Efforts to build safe paths have been taken but it was not enough. It is also not possible to heal them after they have taken damage. It's difficult!
