The Plant Daughters
The union of Isis and Orys resulted in a Living Mound that bears fruit-like growths, from which "human" plant creatures emerge, resembling the supposed offspring of their parents.
Formation
Dark, fruit-like growths bud from stolons on the surface of a Living Mound, initially at the size of a prolate spheroid softball. Over time these fruits grow to about 50 times their size, until a plant daughter reaches juvenility and emerges out of it. They take on the appearance of short, human men or women that deeply resemble their parents, to the extent that some plant daughters can be described as one-to-one "clones" of the teenage stage of either parent in terms of appearance.
Body System
Their bodies are filled with "pseudo-organs" that mimic a human body, but operate on a completely different system.
Flesh
A plant daughter is fully covered in a skin-like tissue that is velvety and delicate like the petals of a flower. It may be of various colors like white-green, red violet, ultramarine or purple and bright yellow. This skin-like membrane serves poorly as a barrier, thus making plant daughters prone to injury.
The "muscle and fat" tissue of a plant daughter is not much different in terms of toughness. Though it functions like human muscle, it is tender and sweet like fruit. The "fat" is simply a softer variation of this type of tissue meant for cushioning other organs.
The "bones" of a plant daughter are only as strong as wood. Their skeletal structure resemble closely to a human's.
Vascular
Plant daughters don't have a cardiovascular system like humans consisting of blood vessels and a heart. Their vascular systems are much like plants' in terms of design, where xylem and phloem distribute water and nutrients via transpiration.
Respiratory
The lungs of a plant daughter operate similar to human lungs. Lung-like structures are concentrated with stomata that facilitate gas exchange. Although, a plant daughter has stomata all over its body as well. Theoretically, a plant daughter can survive without any "lungs".
Sexual
Plant daughters have a gonochoric sexual system, meaning that each individual is either male or female. Though they may resemble humans, their supposed sex-related phenological traits are not determined by the genes that determine their sex. As a result, some plant daughters that are biologically male may posses female sexual characteristics such as "pseudo-uterus", "pseudo-breasts" and other human-female structures, while some that are biologically female may posses human-male structures such as "pseudo-penises". Their real reproduction organs are within these pseudo-genitals, either being a stamen for male plant daughters and a pistil for female plant daughters.
Behavior
Research on plant daughter behavior is incomplete and pending.
In terms of intelligence, plant daughters don't seem to be that smart, but data suggests they are capable of deep rational thought and emotion.
Plant daughters are social creatures and are attracted to bodies of water and rich soil in which they like to play in.
